Pembroke Pines is located in Southwest Broward County one of the world's most favorite playgrounds. With the Atlantic Ocean just minutes away and all the sporting venues in the vicinity, residents and visitors to the area will find themselves immersed in recreational entertainment year round

Pembroke Pines is known as one Broward's premier places to live and raise a family, with top rated schools and low crime rate. Pembroke Pines is a 35-square mile city located in southeast Broward County on Florida's southern Atlantic coast. It's mostly west of Hollywood, north of Miramar, and generally south of both Davie and Cooper City. It's a short, but wide city whose western edge touches the Everglades at US 27. Pembroke Pines is the second largest city in Broward County and the nineth largest city in Florida making Pembroke Pines prime real estate. Pembroke Pines is also home to wonderful living facilities for seniors and golf enthusiasts can enjoy country
club and golf communities. Pembroke Pines is a thriving residential community with a population of over 148,000. Pembroke Pines residents have easy access to Port Everglades, the second busiest cruise port in the world, the Port of Miami, the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and the Miami International Airport. Pembroke Pines also offers every type of housing available, from single family
homes, condos, villas, townhomes, apartments, luxury homes, ranch estates, multi-million dollar residences and more. Homeowners experienced a tremendous return on their investments of real estate in the area but Buying a home in Pembroke Pines will continue to be a wise investment for many years to come. Pembroke Pines newest project is the City Center at Pembroke Pines that would embrace the need to oreserve the natural enviroment and at the same time improve the quality of life.

Saturated with sunshine and replete with warm and friendly people the city of Pembroke Pines successfully inspires a relaxed sytle of living. The charm of Pembroke Pines started as cow pastures, farms, and next-to-the-Everglades swamps. The city was incorporated in 1960 with only 1,429 residents. Folks looking for more elbow room discovered these miles of quiet fields in the mid-fifties, and began settling in what was then the distant countryside of the seaside city of Hollywood. In this once-remote area, new residents were able to spread out on larger
parcels of land and build custom homes without prescribing to convention or following a path laid by developers. In 1980, the largest piece of property from Flamingo Rd to US 27 was added tot eh city which doubled the city's size .

As the city grew, it set aside propety for parks and recreation. All kinds of sports could be played on well kept lighted fields. Several recreation centers allowed indoor activites and classes, such as art and music. Pembroke Pines continued in what it started as a fine residential community that had all types of housing, also the city provided its own police and fire departments. The large Memorial Healthcare system built a full service hospital int eh center of town at Flamingo Rd next to the Pembroke Lakes Mall. In 1992 a natural disaster, Hurricane Andrew, tore through the city of Homestead located in the south Miami area. Many of the people with wrecked homes
turnded north to the new subdivisions being built in Pembroke Pines. By the late 90's, it had earned the title of Florida's fastest growing city at least once.

Pembroke Pines has been true to the original desire of its poineer residents by creating and maintaining a desirable residentail community. Today, more than 148,000 people call it "home". Often referred to locally as "The Pines", the city has about 43,000 households of every style and price. They're so spread out that it takes five U. S. post offices to serve the residents. Pembroke Pines provides all the
services and facilities that make it a great place to live.
