Keller Williams Realty Partners SW - Serving Clients Through-Out South Florida

Miami Beach is a fast growing, fashionable and exciting international hot-spot. Film and music stars, art-deco museums and shopping districts referred to as the "5th Avenue of the South" showcase the decadence and new-world architecture that lures thousands of visitors a year. Miami Beach nightlife concludes an unforgettable vacation day with a diverse array of ethnic food and American cuisine, topped off with jazz cafes and hopping dance clubs

It is the 15 miles of beaches that make Miami a little different to other large cities in America. Attracting a broad spectrum of tourists and visitors of different ages, Miami beaches are full of a diverse mixture of teenagers, families and senior citizens, all enjoying the Miami sunshine and excellent Miami beach facilities. Miami Beach is on the mainland, while the city of Miami Beach is on a thin barrier island about 4 miles
across Biscayne Bay. The locals call this area the Billion Dollar Sandbar. Miami is also known as a playground for the rich and famous and is world famous for the many elegant hotels and luxury resorts and spas that line its beaches. When you think of Greater Miami and the Beaches, the eclectic community of Miami Beach is a place where beautiful people sun by day and revel by night in a party scene as
legendary as the celebrities who grace the neon lighted clubs, bars and restaurants. Once you explore the Beach, however,, you'll discover so much more, from fine shopping and dining to the pastel-colored Art Deco District, all in a funky atmosphere unlike any other place in the nation.

Perhaps Miami's most popular attraction is its incredible 35-mile stretch of beachfront, which runs northwards from the tip of South Beach and then circles the city. There is a beach to suit every preference in Miami. There are beaches for swimming, socializing, or nature watching. There are also private and public beaches that specifically cater to family, seniors, gays and singles. One of the longest stretches of sandy beach runs more than a dozen miles along Collins Avenue. Recreational pursuits in Miami include boating, biking, fishing, golf inline skating,
kayaking, sailing, gaming, jet-skiing, scuba diving, tennis and windsurfing. The city is known for its miles of bike causeways, 18 hole golf courses and big sports events. Favorite sports include professional baseball, basketball, football, horseracing and hockey.

Adventurous spirits looking for an adrenaline rush can choose between parasailing, kayaking, and scuba diving; sea-lovers who prefer to stay dry can catch a boat tour, charter a yacht, or embark on a deep-sea fishing expedition; and visitors planning on leaving their sea legs at home can spend their sunny days on terra firma at the Miami Seaquarium, the Metrozoo, the Cultural Center, or at one of Miami's popular
adventure parks. Golfers in search of a challenge need look no further than South Beach and its surrounding area. Beautifully tended courses, both well-settled and those built using the latest technology, deliver miles of some of the best greens in the United States. Of course, there is always the beach -- 63 miles of it, in fact -- and with an average annual temperature of 75 degrees (F) and an annual surf temperature of 74 degrees (F), South Beach offers up a generous dose of paradise. But, the enchantment doesn't stop there... A tropical haven by day, the city comes alive at sunset, ushering visitors into a world filled with music, dancing, and indulgence. Diners are treated to an incomparable array of irresistible cuisines ranging from Greek to Colombian, New World Caribbean to Vietnamese, Mexican to
Mediterranean, not to mention the seafood. And for those with energy to spare, there are dozens of late-night clubs, discos, and live concerts to sample. South Beach, brimming with exciting opportunities both day and night.

Miami Beach is joined to the mainland by several man made causeways. As you travel across these causeways, you will enjoy the scenic delights and various smaller islands along the way. Once you arrive in Miami Beach, you will notice that the area has three distinct sections, North Miami Beach, Central Miami Beach, and South Beach. At the northern end, Surfside is a favorite spot for, you guessed it, surfers.
The waves of the Atlantic Ocean are ideal here for the surf enthusiast. You will also find Golden Beach, this area has become a traditional favorite for the European traveler. The Central Miami Beach area holds a wealth of huge, legendary resorts. This area has been the premier destination for the sophisticated world traveler for many years. The streets are wide, and the landscaping is meticulous. Beautiful,
swaying palms line the boulevards and the air is sweet. There is a definite cosmopolitan feel to this area. Shops are upscale and diverse. South Beach is a one mile square area located at the southern most point of Miami Beach. South Beach, thanks to such visionaries as Barbara Capitman and Leonard Horowitz, experienced a resurrection in the 1970s. The lovely old homes of the 1920s and 30s were
restored to maximize their intriguing architecture. The structures, now registered on the National Register of Historic Places, have been painted in soft, lush pastels and are alive with vibrant color. This area is also home to over twenty different cultural organizations and museums. And of course, there are also numerous trendy night spots and restaurants. Whatever your desires are for your Florida vacation, Miami Beach is sure to have just what you are looking for. So come down and relax on the beach, or party until dawn. Miami Beach truly has it all!
